Exciting plans afoot for carp bait company. Splashbaits have had an exciting year with the release of a new bait range 'Assassin' which has already yielded catches up to 49lb. A New Year press release from the company explained: "We have seen the release of our very own popup mix and flavoured popups, a new website design and a very successful catch year. Just when we thought the year couldn't end on any better high, Splashbaits were awarded the Best Emerging Bait Company for 2013 as voted for by Total Carp readers.

Get yourself over to the Climax Tackle Open Day this Saturday, December 7th. The Sticky team will be on hand to talk all things bait and carp. Jim Shelley will also be there to talk everything carp and will be showcasing his new book Carping Re-Cut, with a chance to buy a signed copy on the day. Also, top UK big-fish angler Sean Leverett, Sticky boss Tom Anderson and Sticky media man Dan Wildbore will be available to answer your technical questions on the Sticky range.

Linear Fisheries is holding an open day on Saturday, May 10th, 2014. This outdoor event will be held on Brasenose Two Lake and is free to attend. There will be a number of exhibitors and well-known faces on hand to give all the advice you need on anything ‘carpy’, and some of the exhibitors will be selling. This one-day event starts at 9am and finishes at 5pm, hot food and drink will be available and there is ample parking, although there may be a spot of walking from the car, depending on how busy it gets.
