Just a quick update as to what has been happening at Les Quis during the winter. 

 Firstly, we have put in a drainage system that has enabled us to drop the levels of all four lakes by 18 inches. After the last four years of wet winters and even wetter spring times, the levels have gradually crept up making some of the swims tricky to fish due to water encroaching up the bank. Hopefully excess water is now a thing of the past!

Secondly, we have just had a delivery of new fish.

We took a ride down to Barston Lakes Near Solihull to check out the annual Leeda & Wychwood Trade Show. Having been shown around the huge array of products our keen eyes spotted a few innovative items that will really stand out on the bank and benefit your fishing. Firstly was the much awaited D-Ploy bivvy, constructed from high grade lightweight aluminum poles and single aluminum rear spreader block this lightweight and durable design allows the shelter to be erected in no more than 30 seconds. Various other additions help make this an incredibly user friendly shelter that is entirely versatile to suit every anglers need and will suit the short and long session anglers alike.

Just five hours into his first trip testing a new Solar Chilli Club bait, Colin Gray's first take on the new bait resulted in this 36lb-plus mirror. Having picked up his test batch from Solar HQ on Monday evening, Colin headed straight to Darenth Big Lake where he presented an 18mm bottom bait over 1kg of matching freebies at 90 yards. With the first take coming just a few hours later and resulting in this mid-thirty, the Solar team member packed up early Tuesday morning to head back to work with a large smile on his face. The Chilli Club bait is still in development, but the results so far are incredible, as you can see from Colin's success.
