Over the winter Wildmoor Waters has made some significant changes to the Main Lake. By separating the summer as Summer Bay, and the new heart-shaped lake now benefits from a reprofiled bottom. A number of submerged features were created as part of this exercise, as previously the bottom was quite flat, so there are now more areas to hold fish.
Other advantages are that the fish density is now even higher than it was before, and the crafty carp can no longer nip over into Summer Bay, out of the reach of anglers in the lodges.

Damsel lake on the well-known Manor Farm fishery complex in Biggleswade has been throwing up some fantastic fish action. 120+ exhibitors at Norfolk show. Over 120 stands have confirmed their attendance at the British Carp Angling Show. Taking place at the Norkfolk Showground on the weekend of the 18th and 19th January next year, organisers are expecting to see more people attend this year than ever before. The show premiered in January 2012 and blew the minds of many exhibitors who were thrilled with the busy and lively atmosphere, where visitor numbers reached an estimated 9,000 over the 2-day show.
The final of the Erics Carp Championship has taken place with the final 12 qualifying pairs competing for the £30,000 cash prize. The formidable field of anglers was a real who's who of match carp angling and it was clear at the draw that the result would not be clear cut. With carp spread out among the bays that make up the 25 acres of Farlows Lake, it was clear that the winning pair would be those who kept disturbance to a minimum and kept the fish feeding in their area for the duration of the 48hr match.
