Copy Of Angling Direct Colchester Grand Opening
The grand opening of Angling Direct's new Colchester store will take place this Saturday, June 28th, and will feature angling star Jon Mann.
To celebrate the opening of its ninth retail branch, Angling Direct is offering 10 per cent off everything on the day, including price-checked items. There will also be exclusive special offers available, a rig clinic, tank demonstrations and a free prize draw to enter.
The new 3,200 sq ft store will be the largest tackle shop in the north of Essex and will cater for many disciplines of fishing, including carp, coarse, match and sea, and will stock all of the leading tackle brands from a range of more than 100 manufacturers.
There will be a permanent display of bivvies set up on the purpose-built mezzanine, plus a comprehensive selection of rods, reels, luggage, terminal tackle and accessories from all of the most popular brands, including Angling Direct’s own ADvanta product brand. In addition to this, fresh bait will be available daily alongside all of the latest carp bait ranges.
The store will have a dedicated social area with a sofa and magazines, where family members can relax while the anglers browse the shelves. This will also serve as a focus area for in-depth rig demonstrations so that customers can see all of the latest terminal tackle and accessories in action.
Store manager Chris Rainbow commented: "It's really exciting that Angling Direct has chosen to open a store in this area, and I look forward to meeting all customers in person, showing them around and sharing a few fishy tales over a cuppa."
There will also be a programme of events throughout the rest of the year, including specialist demonstrations by famous anglers such as Terry Dempsey from Urban Baits and Taska, and Korda's Darrell Peck.
