Bait

we love these!

After so many years taking delivery of new baits, it can become a little bit uninspiring sometimes. However, this month I’ve had two baits land in the office that have each stopped me in my tracks. One is this Catalyst from the very much up and coming Spotted Fin.

The moment I opened the box I caught the delicious aroma and this drew me to inspect it further. Tasting the bait, which is not something I make a habit of, it immediately felt palatable and moreish. No chemical edge, just an extremely pleasant tasting bait that screams carp bites.

The science behind the bait is pretty simple – top-quality liquid ingredients on a milk and hemp protein base, which sounds like a winner to me.

I know a hell of a lot of carp have already been caught on the Catalyst, including some big elusive ones, and I have to be honest – it’s one of the first baits in recent months that I feel compelled to try out for myself. If this is the first of many baits to come from Spotted Fin then we’re all in for a treat. (MC)
