I can quite honestly turn up at three or four venues in a month and, without the time to work out spots or get anything going, sometimes I just have to tie up a bag and get it out there.

Having a nutritional and ready to go mix makes my life so much easier. I don’t just use the Squid Meal, typically because I don’t have enough and it’s a light mix, so I like to add a little hemp and oils to give it weight and feed items to ensure it gets down to the bottom and stays there for a little while. I am quite happy to mix the Squid Meal with hemp oil or other bait attractor liquids like the Hot Shrimp from Aqua Bait and I will ball this up and use it as loose feed down the edge or spomb it out to create a cloud of attraction, but with minimal items for the carp to indulge on before it gets to my hook bait.

Having only recently broken into the direct sales of the carp market there are not many anglers using these highly nutritious and beneficial food sources, so I like to be among the few who are because it gives me that extra little bit of confidence. Even if you don’t try this, look at the website and check it out, you will be surprised just how many seriously good carp products Skretting has and how cheap you can buy them. Believe me when I say that there are very few companies that equal or better the quality. Its livelihood is based on the health and wellbeing of carp and salmonid species it does all the science so you don’t have to. (DM)
