The biggest fishing show in the UK is back for 2012 – with more things to buy, see and do than ever before. Being held at Farnborough Airfield, Hampshire, The Big One show has now been running for an amazing 26 years. But that hasn’t seen organisers sit on their laurels, with this year's event seeing a whole host of attractions over the two day show – including more celebrity anglers than ever before. To carper's quest for a winter 40 gets ever closer - and then some.
Top carp angler and Total Carp regular Ian Chillcott has been putting in the hours to catch himself a winter 40 over the last few months – and with this 39 he got himself as close as your can get. Chilly’s target water is Cemex’s West Hampnett, where a recent three-night session gave him the 39 pounder, as well as a string of other specimens. “The first night gave me mirrors of 20lb and 28lb 14oz, but then I had nothing on the second night at all,” said Chilly.
Firm asks customers to contact them due to issue with batch of shelters.
Top tackle firm Nash has announced a recall on a batch of its latest range of brollies. A problem with the pegging points on the Titan Brolly All Season sent out just before Christmas has seen the company ask any customer who purchased one of the brollies to contact them. Identified as being down to the wrong length front ribs having been used in the batch, the problem sees the pegging points being too high to allow the pegs to properly grip in certain types of soil.
