Cold water session delivers run of fish with 32lb common taking centre stage. A five fish haul to 32lb 10oz was the reward for Korum brand manager Mat Woods during a recent trip to RH Fisheries’ Weston Park syndicate. Having never caught a 30 in January before, Mat targeted the venue’s inhabitants with a batch of new Sonubaits Refresha pop-ups, fished wafter style on a 'Jonny' Rig. And his plan more than paid off.

Pete McKenna let's us in on his latest exploits including mobile river fishing and a run in with an angry old man. Over Christmas I managed to get a fair bit of fishing in. However, for the most part I took a break from the carping and satisfied my anglers’ itch with a few afternoons roving my local river with a bag of lures, a rod and a net. It was really nice to adopt such a mobile approach for a change.
