. . . and it's an absolute cracker!Daiwa have undertaken a company global first, specifically reserving the launch of a new reel, to the European market first, at EFTTEX.
Although best known for its hugely successful Krill, there is so much more to Sticky’s range than just that. To complement the already successful high-attract pop-ups, Sticky has just launched these dedicated bait sprays to match each flavour and give an added boost. There’s one for each of the White Chocolate, Pineapple & N-butyric, Peach & Pepper and the awesome Buchu-Berry. As well as these, Sticky has also catered for its regular bait users by creating similar sprays for each of the Krill, Bloodworm and new Vor-Tex+ baits, each packed with the same attractor combinations as the baits themselves.
I wrote about this rucksack a month or two after first receiving it and I talked about my never-ending search for the perfect bag. I’d tried loads of carryalls and rucksacks and none had really stayed in my possession, with the exception of an original Trakker Armo many moons ago. I still own that, but it’s collecting dust in my loft because it became too big once I stopped taking so much stuff fishing with me!Now, having used this one for well over a year (albeit not exactly my busiest year in fishing terms) I absolutely love it. The compact nature removes the temptation for me to take more than I need, yet what I do take fits comfortably inside the two separate compartments and outer pockets.

I’ve had two sets of Reubens over the years, having left a set on the car park at Linear Fisheries some time back, but the replacements (which I had stamped with the TC logo at the time) have been my scales of choice ever since. They’re the classic dial scales, mine reading from 0 to 60lb (if only) in 1oz increments, so are extremely easy to read. They did have a small light in them originally (a few were made at the time) but that has long since given up the ghost. However, the newer versions have a more discreet and reliable light in them, making them easy to read at night.
When it comes to tackle I wouldn’t say I was that hard to please. I like simple, efficient and something that will last. Having used this quiver and sleeve for well over a month, and a fair few sessions, I can say that it is currently ticking all the boxes. As with most quivers, the simplistic design makes it perfect for me, saving room when loading the car.
Where casting accuracy is concerned, marking your main line has become paramount and over the years various methods have been tried to do so efficiently. Thanks to the newly launched Glo Pro, the days of fiddly marker knots and obstructive folded tape are long gone. Available in four hi-viz colours – orange, green, yellow and pink – this luminous liquid line marker presents an easy and convenient method to quickly mark your main line for clipping up at a specific range. Supplied as a pot and brush duo, the Glow Pro can be applied to form a tidy tapered colour marker.
