Chub Vizor Lite Bivvy

Okay, so it’s fair to say that I rarely use a full-blown bivvy these days, preferring instead my brolly.

However, as we head into winter, the comfort of a proper bivvy might be called for.

If so, and having tested this one, on and off, for some time now, I have to say that I’d be perfectly happy using it.
Without having a ridiculously oversized footprint, the Vizor Lite boasts absolutely loads of internal room, thanks to the spaced bars at the base of the pramhood design.
The material itself is superb and has dealt with most conditions you’re likely to face in the UK… including lots of rain! No condensation at any stage has been another welcome feature.
One really nice touch is the way that two little bars allow you to keep the rear vents open at the bottom and, so, allow plenty of air circulation but without any rain getting in.
Oh, the fact that the rear vents can also be opened and closed from inside instead of outside is an extremely welcome touch too.
With the usual multiple options on the door system, the Vizor Lite adds up to a heck of a lot of bivvy, provided it’s the kind of shelter you’re looking for. (MC)
