The lake had been fishing relatively slow so Neil dropped into a swim that he knew had a track record for producing winter whackers. After an unproductive night in the swim, Neil was up at first light watching the water for signs of carp.

The massive fish- known as ‘The Scar’ was taken on a double Mainline Hybrid boilie presented over a bed of boilies and hemp. Hook choice was a Korda Wide Gape X in a size 6. The fish sets a new personal best for 41 year old Damian, whose previous best stood at 88lb.
