I only started wearing combat-style trousers after realising how quickly they dried out and how lightweight and comfortable they were, not to mention the numerous pockets, which always come in handy when out on the bank. I was keen to check these out after they landed in the office. Straightaway the feel was good, a light and stretchy material that I believe is nylon designed to feel like cotton. I have since found out they feel as good as they look and offer the wearer plenty of movement and super durability.  There are two hand pockets, two cargo pockets and an additional rear one that even benefits from a zip to help keep your essentials safe. Available in medium to XXL they are well sized, offering a tailored and comfortable fit. If looks matter when you’re on the bank, then this is the camouflage I would choose, a deep green pattern that is in vogue and helps break up my outline when creeping around the bank, helping conceal me from the carp and other anglers. A neutral beige alternative is on offer if the camou isn’t for you. (DM)
