Total Carp Staff

The variable weather has continued to make life difficult for anglers although there have been some good catches over the weekend. On Damsel Martin Gray caught 14-08 and a 4lb tench. Steve Way caught 2 commons at 14lb and 21-08. Darren Twyler netted a 19-03 mirror.

On Damsel Craig Daniels bagged 5 to 18lb, fishing with Lee Turner who caught 3 to 21-08 and Tom Large 5 to 13lb. Jamie Pullen caught 5 to 21lb, Glem Barrable had 2 to an 18-10 common, Ben Bowler 5 to 18-04. Matthew Lucas beat his dad into second place taking 8 to 21-04 his dad Michael with 5 to 16-04. The most notable catch was Paul Goldsmith, aged 15, who snared his PB and one of the biggest in the lake at 25-10.

This weekend was bit slower with some fish spawning but even so a few PB's were smashedOn Damsel Nathan Richards caught a 12lb, Mark Williams two 13lb commons, Doug Ashley a 16lb and Laurie Gregory a 12lb and an 18lb. On Carp Lake Duane Richardson over 2 nights bagged 9 to 25lb including 3 other 20's on Thripster Baits and Thripster Pearl pop ups. Milosz Jedraszewski caught an 18-08 common. Ryan Hatton caught 7 to 19-08 on @Mainline Cell and Hybrid and pop ups on a Ronnie Rig.

The weather this weekend was a marked contrast to last with a return to the cold and wet, as a result catches were down. Those that did catch include: On Damsel Colin Bryant with 22-08, 21lb and 15-01 to Essential Cell and Chris Bell 2 to 11-04 on Sticky Baits Krill. On Carp Lake a group of nine booked for an annual social, Ricky Guegon caught a 24lb in the margin and a 17-08, Wayne bagged 12 to 22lb on Monster Squid, Stuart a 17lb common, Harry 4 to 21lb, Cole 12 to 22lb with a 10mm pop up over Sticky Krill boilies, Nicky 16 to 21-12 and Dean a 20lb on Scopex Squid and Citrus and Strawberry Crush and Hi Vis pop ups. On Becks Dave Hatch landed 2 just under 20lb to a solid bag and a Manilla wafter.
