At five acres, the Carp Lake is suited to the angler who doesn't mind waiting for a bite. Although the fishing can be tricky at times, the rewards are there to be had.
The largest and newest water on the complex, this 12-acre lake is broken up by an abundance of islands and a spit either side. Depths range from three to eight feet. Because the fishery is relatively new, most swims are currently producing good catches
Nine individual reservoirs make up the Walthamstow Reservoir network but 1, 2 and 3 are the ones that carp anglers will be interested in. With some prestigious fish running to over 40lb and depths averaging 10 to 12 feet, it can be tricky at times.
