Trakker labels the filling as ‘medium’ weight, and this makes sense because it’s not restrictively heavy but it still feels extremely warm and comfortable.

We have not had any real subzero temperatures yet, at least not as I write this shortly before Christmas, so there hasn’t been the chance to really test it to its limits.

However, I’d be surprised, and more than a bit disappointed, if it wasn’t seriously warm. It certainly feels like it would be.

Detailing is evident throughout, with the fleece lining extended to a little tab that sits over the top of the zip beneath the chin area.
 

As somebody who usually has a beard, or some sort of facial hair, this is an absolute godsend. Even if you’re the clean-shaven type, you’ll still appreciate keeping the zip away from your face. Fleece-lined, zipped, external pockets feature on both garments, while the jacket also boasts elasticated, Velcro cuffs just to make absolutely sure that the cold is kept at bay. (MC)
