With a whopping 10,000 Hydrostatic Head, this is about as waterproof as clothing from fishing companies gets, yet it’s both lightweight and extremely easy to pack away. Sealed zips feature throughout, which is essential in a suit of this nature, and these include half zips on the leg of the trousers to make them a doddle to get on and off without taking off your boots. It would be wrong not to mention the price here because this is a lot of money for a decent quality ‘stash suit’ of this nature but, let’s face it, they’ll probably actually sell for a little less than this as well.

Now here is a lovely little product that although on first appearances doesn’t seem like much, will benefit you throughout the colder months and can be stashed away in a small side pocket and forgotten about until you need it; when you do, there is no better alternative. Made from non-pill polyester, this soft-feel garment can be worn in four different ways, ensuring you stay wrapped up and snug throughout crisp, cold evenings and bitter winds. The Headover can be rolled up to be worn as a traditional fleece hat or pulled down to provide a more traditional neck snood. If the weather really does take a turn for the worse and you are crazy enough to be fishing in blizzard-like conditions or when that dreadful icy rain begins to descend, then simply don the garment as a fully-fledged balaclava.
The two-tone colour of the Hoodie Pullover makes it the perfect match for the Bank Bound Joggers. Utilising the same materials as the hoodie, the joggers boast two side handwarmer pockets with the left one being fitted with a zipper to keep your valuables safe and secure. Moving down the trousers are two thigh Velcro box pockets and wide elasticated leg cuffs ensuring they fit completely snug.

What outfit is complete without a hat? Well the team at Prologic has three to choose from in this vast Bank Bound range. The camou cap is a one-size-fits-all design with six panels made from 97 per cent cotton and three per cent elasthan. An elastic stretch sweatband is situated internally for comfort and it can effortlessly be adjusted via the snap back system to fit every time. Next up is the flat bill cap for the angler who wants to remain trendy on and off the bank.
Feeling comfortable on the bank means i keep going even if the bites aren’t coming thick and fast, and this garment not only keeps me snug and protected but makes me look the part, even if i do say so myself.
Loaded to the hilt with features this fully functional jacket is the perfect addition to my wardrobe. Fully taped seams and waterproof zips means i can keep all my essentials dry and to hand and by being compatable with the Navitas Atlas Fleece means i can simply add another layer if needed should the wather turn for the worse. With an inbuilt lightweight synthetic insulation i am yet to get cold when worn with the correct base layers but equally i do not find myself sweatng and over heating neither.
Now let’s face it, whether you love or hate the Crocs, they were useful. However if like me you would have rather ruined another pair of socks instead of being seen in them, then Prologic has the answer. With an ultra-light design and designed to be a casual footwear solution, the bank slippers are available in sizes 7, 7. 5, 8, 9 and 10.
Available from medium up to XXL, this lightweight, stashable jacket and trousers combo comes supplied in a small carry bag, allowing you to stay prepared for whatever the weather decides to throw at you. Boasting a double-layer, 320D, 100 per cent polyester taslon shell fabric, it is waterproof to 8,000mm and breathable at 5,000mvp for increased comfort. With taped seams, waterproof zipper and water-repellent zipped pockets, the jacket makes for a great outer layer should you come unstuck. Other features include an under windfillet to the main zip and elasticated cuff with Velcro adjustment that is also situated on the leg cuffs to help eliminate rain ingress and wind draught.

The original versions of Vass’ smock and salopettes have been hugely popular in the khaki colour and it is probably the most waterproof suit of its kind that we have seen.
Responding to huge public demand, Vass has now introduced the same suit but with a quilted lining to add insulation to the protection. I’m referring to this as a suit because it is of course exactly that, but each garment is sold separately, so if you only want the jacket or the salopettes then you can. The smock is a pullover design and boasts a front ‘kangaroo-style’ pocket, elasticated cuffs, roll-out hood and high collar to keep out the worst that the elements can throw at you.
The Tactical Elite Jacket is of alightweight nature and has the ability to remain water resistant while retaining a very stashable size means this item would be great for anyone who likes to travel light and take the minimum amount of kit, but we’d not recommend it for heavy winter downpours.
Five external pockets allow you to keep everything at hand while the stashaway hood, which is inside the collar, enables you to keep one step ahead of the weather. Underarm zips allow you to maintain a comfortable internal temperature; great for when you’re on the move.
Available in Camo and Titanium from small to XXL, we are sure this is going to be a hit.
This was probably the one item that caught my eye before the others, purely because it’s Trakker’s first foray into the wader market, and I’d say the boys up there have nailed it.
Well made, lightweight and very easy to get on and off quickly, they tick all the boxes for the modern carp angler, more of whom seem to own and use ‘chesties’ these days. Adjustable, elasticated straps complete with Trakker detailing and twin, adjustable waist straps mean the perfect fit is easily achieved, while the PVA boot is rugged but flexible at the same time.
Each pair also comes with a dedicated air-drying carry bag.
Heading up the new range of Bank Bound clothing, this lightweight suit packs away into a tiny bag, making it supremely transportable and easy to store in your rucksack or carryall.
With a waterproof outer, breathable inner and mesh lining, it’s not just a single-layer packaway; there is a lot more to it than that.
Similarly, the trousers are of the same construction and both garments boast taped seams and waterproof zippers throughout. I really like this suit, especially for the price, and I love the fact that it packs away so small.
If wellingtons aren’t really your thing and you much prefer a boot, do not fear – the Fieldman Boot is here. Made from real full-grain leather and a Vibram Trek rubber sole, the Hydroguard membrane means these boots are waterproof yet breathable.
The 200gms insulation will keep your feet warm while minimising the dreaded sweat. However, if you do suffer from smelly or sweaty feet, the boots have been treated with an Agion antimicrobial solution for odour resistance.
