THE TACKLE BOX’S LEE JACKSON SAYS: This set comprises three very attractive and fairly compact remote alarms that have roller wheel sensing, adjustable volume, tone and sensitivity settings, drop-back LED and tone indication and low battery detection alert. Plus there’s a receiver that also has volume, tone and sensitivity controls and low battery detection alert, plus a courtesy light and memory function that has three alarm mode options. This state-of-the-art set comes in a hard plastic presentation case and includes a free remote LED bivvy light that has six adjustable brightness levels, adjustable delay, and once paired with the receiver mimics the LED colour of the alarm that is sounding. Each alarm is powered by two AAA batteries, the receiver a PP3 9V battery and the bivvy light three AAs, none of which are supplied.

I have been using the TF Gear Dave Lane Mag Runner alarms for a little over three months and it’s so far so good. The set comprises three alarms and a receiver unit and what fantastic value for money it is. I like simplicity when it comes to alarms because simplicity works and there’s not a lot that can go wrong. Each alarm has an on/off switch; bright, luminous roller wheel and a switch to link up with the receiver.

Lee Jackson’s verdict - Plenty of features and what a bargain! 3. 5/5 Tackle Box’s Lee Jackson says: When we were first shown these alarms and the receiver we couldn’t believe what we were hearing – £13. 99 for a remote alarm and £13. 99 for a receiver to go with it, that adds up to just over £55 for three heads and a receiver, that’s absolutely amazing value! The alarm has adjustable volume and tone control, a night light function, detachable snag ears and is available with either a red, white, blue or purple LED.
