Navitas New Launches

PUKKA! On an early spring recce to Navitas HQ in deepest Essex I was privvy to a host of exciting new bits, incuding these three, which I singled out for a closer look.

First up, and a particular favourite for me as a self-confessed Croc hater, the Weaves offer a great option to the carp angler wanting a summer shoe that can be slipped on and off in a hurry. The weave design allows water to drain out immediately and, despite it being more of a slipper design, the rear folds down easily to allow them to be worn more like a slip-on.

Super-lightweight but with a decent soles, they take up very little room and can be worn for long periods without any discomfort... and they look the absolute nuts too, in both the green and camou versions. These are going to be absolutely massive and I can’t wait to get my hands on a pair, which should be in the shops by the time you are reading this. Check them out for yourselves at your nearest Navitas stockist – you won’t be disappointed.

Next up is the Scout 2.0 jacket, which replaces the original and popular Scout. Being lightweight, it’s ideal for year-round use and is the perfect jacket to slip on in the evenings at this time of year. It’ll also protect you against those impromptu summer showers, thanks to the nylon outer, taped seams and waterproof zips. For later in the year you can zip the Atlas Fleece into the Scout 2.0 to create the ideal winter jacket, too. As with all the Navitas gear, it looks the part too, and is as at home in the boozer or on the high street as it is on the bank. If you’re after a simple, functional jacket that performs as well as looks the part, then the Scout 2.0 (available in small to XXXL) is spot-on.

The last in my trio of chosen garms is the Soft Shell 2.0 jacket, again available in small to XXXL. It’s part of the NIA (Navitas Interactive Apparel) range, so can be transformed into a fleece-lined winter coat with the addition of the Atlas Fleece.

In the meantime, it makes the ideal soft shell, which are hugely popular these days. It’s not just a run-of-the-mill soft shell either; this is a proper technical jacket packed with features and which looks the absolute nuts.

Waterproof and fully breathable and with adjustable waistcord and cuffs and full-length zip, the Soft Shell 2.0 looks set to be an absolute winner. Perfect for year-round use and, again on and away from the lake, it’s another that’s well worth checking out at a Navitas stockist near you. (MC)

£24.99 (Weaves); £69.99 (Scout 2.0) and £54.99 (Soft Shell 2.0)
