Jack Pyke Hunters Boots

Rambling through the dew-sodden grass is a regular occurrence when fishing and out on features, so what I needed was a pair of boots that would offer me protection but comfort when worn for long periods. Although these are not the lightest boots I have ever worn, they are by far the most protective so far. Constructed from full-grain leather with Vibram Trek rubber soles, the Hunter Boots are waterproof to above the ankle and breathable too, which is great if you run hot. While on the subject, the soles have been treated with Agion antimicrobial treatment that helps to eradicate that awful damp-dog smell; so keeping these in the house doesn’t cause me too much grief with the housemate.

Padded tongues and heels make these boots comfortable to wear and with strong laces I tend to leave them tied and then simply wrap them around the eyelets so I can put them on in a hurry. Although we have only just started experiencing the colder weather, they have provided ample insulation.

So once I am on the move generating heat, the boots are capable of retaining this when I finally come to a stop. Overall, I think these are great all-round fishing boots that I believe will last. I have paid £40 for a pair of boots and after one season they are fit for the bin.

Showing very little signs of stress from the past four months, I am happy to say that these should serve you well. FOR MORE DETAILS
