There are certain items that all carp anglers need, and some form of luggage is certainly one of them. Whether you go down the local commercial for a few hours or regularly spend longer durations on the bank you need a means of getting your kit to the venue.
Although it may look goliath at first, the Organiser Carryall can be broken in two, meaning you can leave the irrelevant gear in the car or even at home. With two large compartments complete with clear lids for convenience, the carryall can hold a large volume of tackle, which will remain protected thanks to the soft JRC lining and strategically placed padding.
If you are after a complete bite indictor setup and you want to get your money’s worth then look no further. Utilising a number of new technologies, Avid Carp has brought a bobbin bundle to the market to help you stay in control of whichever fishing scenario you may find yourself in.
Each pack comes complete with two Line Grippers, one featuring the unique Yin-Yang ball clip, which is perfectly suited to fishing slack lines, as well as a more traditional-style ball clip. There are also two bodies, a smaller style and a much larger one for when long-range fishing.

Dan Murrell’s verdict:Outstanding value-for-money waders. 4/5
I love a pair of waders, and have tried most, so was interested when these turned up.
First impressions were of tough waders, which immediately appealed because I’m known as really putting stuff through its paces. I was amazed to find that they cost less than 40 quid!
The material is 680g Plavitex, which once I’d put them on felt easy enough to move in but also extremely robust and, obviously, supremely waterproof.
PUKKA! Marc Coulson’s verdict: Some of the best bankware I have ever used. 5/5!
One of the things I love about being out on features is checking out any tackle bits and bobs that the anglers are using. Not necessarily from their sponsors, because I’d expect them to use their kit, but other bits that might stand out and are being used purely because the angler rates it, not because he has to do so.
Last year, when at Wraysbury with Ian Russell, I was struck by his bankware.
Available from 250ml to five litres, these new liquids include old favourites such as Chilli Hemp Oil, Tiger Nut Extract, Liquid Tuna, Betaine and Liquid Salmon.
The natural oil utilised in the Chilli Hemp Oil is rich in vital fatty acids such as omegas 3, 6 and 9, which is then decanted in fine-grade chillies for a month until a rich powerful aroma is infused.
The Liquid Tuna and Liquid Salmon are rich in naturally occurring oils and will really come into their own as the water warms. Tiger Nut Extract and Liquid Betaine need little introduction, and each liquid has been meticulously filtered for top-quality results.
With the trend for sharpening hooks, we often argue in the office as to whether, when you’re paying £3 to £5 a packet, you sould have to sharpen them.
Well the arrival of the new Kodex Genomic Wide Gape hooks settled our debate; no they do not need sharpening – only after you have banked several fish, of course. With a Micro-Ground finish and chemically edged process that each hook has been subjected to, the ever so slightly leaning point is super-fine, incredibly sharp and wow does it take hold quickly – and that’s just in my hand.
I mentioned it slightly leans as opposed to it being a fully fledged beaked point that can alter the hooking potential in certain rig presentations.
