Korda’s Monster Carp, half-way through it’s first season on ITV4, has been a huge hit with audiences who rate the first two episodes as some of the best angling action to be aired on freeview TV! Covering Japan and Hungary so far, the series stars Ali Hamidi along with two guests (Neil Spooner, Tom Dove and Darrell Peck have co-starred so far, with Danny Fairbrass joining the crew in later episodes) in an hour-long angling adventure in search of giant carp across the globe. Taking in local culture, adventure and travel, the series ends with episodes shot in Italy (Tues, 19th July) and Austria (Tues, 26th Juy) to complete an amazing global hunt for carp that has gone down a storm on social media, with the series trending on Twitter during the broadcasts. Presenter and series producer Ali Hamidi said: "I think the response to this series from the fishing industry has been beyond our wildest dreams. We’re so proud and happy that you folks are loving it like you are.

Summer can predominantly mean warm nights and quick sessions, and there is nothing more annoying than having to lug your large two-man winter bivvy around the lake. Well you no longer have to. I know what you are thinking, a carp rod for under £40, yeah right. Well they are as cheap as that and they certainly are fully functional carp rods. Lightweight and well balanced, these will perform in the majority of modern carp angling scenarios. Of course, if you wish to cast 160 yards then I would recommend not looking at these.
