45lb12oz beast from Southern Water. Avid's Neil Edge recently proved the importance of travelling light when he banked this incredible carp from his current target water. The lake had been fishing relatively slow so Neil dropped into a swim that he knew had a track record for producing winter whackers. After an unproductive night in the swim, Neil was up at first light watching the water for signs of carp.
Damian Clarke banks PB 93lb mirrorKorda ace Damian Clarke has banked his new personal best fish- an 93lb 8oz mirror carp from France’s Graviers Fishery. The massive fish- known as ‘The Scar’ was taken on a double Mainline Hybrid boilie presented over a bed of boilies and hemp. Hook choice was a Korda Wide Gape X in a size 6. The fish sets a new personal best for 41 year old Damian, whose previous best stood at 88lb.
Deep lake yields huge fish for Fox rod. Fox Media Manager, Lewis Porter has recently banked this lovely 30lb 14oz mirror from his Cambridgeshire syndicate lake. Lewis fished a hinged pop-up rig in 37ft of water and managed to bank six carp during his four night stay. His successful rig was tied from 25lb Rigidity and a size 5 SR for the hook section whilst the boom was tied using a prototype hooklink material that he is currently field testing.
