New DVD promotes Oxford carp pits. Linear Fisheries have released a new promotional DVD for 2013. It features both Ian Russell and Iain Macmillan who offer information on the waters and some valuable advice on how to fish them. The DVD, which runs for approximately 55 minutes, is free from selected shops, from Linear’s bailiffs on the bank, and from a stand at the Linear Fisheries open day, which is taking place on May 11th.

92lb French monster passes away. The aptly named French mirror, known as ‘The Giant’ has been found dead, in the snaggy margins of its French home. It is assumed that the stress of its recent capture at 92 pounds has proved to much for it to recover from. There were no obvious marks in its mouth or on its body to suggest it had been tethered, though it was estimated that the fish had been dead for two or three days.
