PUKKA!Putty has been around for years and every angler has a little pot kicking around.
This is the newest addition to the popular Taska Baseline Tungsten range and what a welcome addition it is too.
As the name suggests, the formula has been designed to ensure the putty is as easy to use in the depths of winter as it is in the height of summer.
If putty isn’t malleable then it’s just not practical to use and this was the team’s main focus.

On an overnighter at the Waesmeer syndicate in Belgium, Solar Tackle team member Ignace De Roeck has landed a brace of 30lb+ mirrors.
Following his incredible sessions on his Belgian target water recently using the new TunaMino test baits, Ignace nicked a quick night on the bank using the same baits. With fishing on the Waesmeer syndicate being difficult in the weeks before Ignace’s trip, expectations weren’t particularly high, but presenting a TunaMino hook bait with a size 6 Stronghold 101 hook over a bed of matching, glugged freebies Ignace landed mirrors of 34lb and 31lb.

Bored with politics and fed up with the football results? Have a go at fishing during National Fishing Month
Unlike many sports which rely on rapid body movement or an eye for a ball, just about anybody can fish. Angling is a great leveller, with no barriers based on age, gender or social status. You can spend a warm summer’s day or a crisp winter’s morning by the water in beautiful places you would otherwise never, ever visit. Indeed, fishing really is a four-season sport, and one of its joys is that in each season there are different and exciting fish to catch.
Following Solar Tackle team member Ignace De Roeck’s incredible 24-hour session last week (as reported in a previous e-mail) in which he landed 10 carp from a tough water, including two mid forties and a 39lb mirror, he’s only gone and bettered it!
Heading back to the same 4-hectare syndicate water in Flanders, Belgium, this time the experienced big-carp angler landed 15 carp from 18 takes, which saw 5 thirties and a forty grace his unhooking mat, once again all coming during a 24-hour trip.
As with his previous session, the Belgian angler fished over a bed of Solar's new TunaMino test baits using a snowman hook bait and landed carp of 39lb 2oz, 38lb, 41lb 8oz, 35lb and a couple of other low thirties too.
“It was hectic, I could barely eat or sleep for the whole trip,” explained Ignace. “I even had two double takes, and when the carp were on the mat the TunaMino bait was being vented everywhere.
With the onset of summer I can look back fondly on a very successful spring season on my target water near my home in Hurth, Germany,”explains Solar Tackle field tester Peter Zyla.
“Over the spring months I got stuck in to testing Solar’s the new Pink & White boilies, and then from April the new TunaMino test baits as well, and both outperformed all of my expectations. Coupled with carefully planned location choices and some prebaiting I landed 47 carp over the course of 18 trips, with one fifty and 12 forties toping the tally.
“In early spring I caught most of my fish concentrating on shallow areas, and often caught best in a westerly wind.
An unbelievable Red Letter session has been enjoyed by Solar Tackle team member Ignace De Roeck. In just 24 hours he landed a sought-after target fish in the shape of a black, 46lb+ common. Incredibly he then went on to land another forty, a stunning 39lb mirror and no less than seven other carp from a, reputably, hard water while out putting the kent-based firm's TunaMino test baits through their paces.

Ignace explains: “I arrived at the lake, a 4-hectare syndicate water in Flanders, Belgium, with a 24-hour session ahead of me.
