As a Tempest brolly user I have only ever had one slight gripe and that was the open front allowing all manner of flying critters to swarm inside for cover. I’m sure I am not alone in this and in response, Trakker has produced these Insect Panels which clip effortlessly on to the Tempest frame and have proven an absolute godsend. I attach mine as soon as I set the Tempest up, not giving the mozzies and their mates any time to descend. I will add here that it’s also important to use a groundsheet if you are going to really eradicate them because many flies and suchlike will come up out of the grass in the evening.
