I only started wearing combat-style trousers after realising how quickly they dried out and how lightweight and comfortable they were, not to mention the numerous pockets, which always come in handy when out on the bank. I was keen to check these out after they landed in the office. Straightaway the feel was good, a light and stretchy material that I believe is nylon designed to feel like cotton. I have since found out they feel as good as they look and offer the wearer plenty of movement and super durability.
PUKKA! If cool-looking indicators are your thing, and you haven’t been living under a rock for the last few years, you’ll be familiar with this versatile and varied range of heads.
Designed in conjunction with Muddy Waters, they are the choice of very many carp anglers, especially those who want their kit to look just right. However, it is not just in the looks department that they score highly.
With several sizes ranging from the smallest (10mm x 22mm) Clinga Old Skool, the slimline Clinga Lite, my favourites the Clinga Dumpy, Clinga Standard and then the daddies of the bunch the Clinga XL, XXL and Long Range, there really is a head size and weight to suit every occasion.
Lee Jackson says: The idea for this seat originated from a seat that The Tackle Box proprietor Gary Peet brought back from a fishing trip at least 18 years ago, when he saw an angler using it and bought it off him. We liked the idea, it was light, compact and very functional, and when we showed it to Kevin Nash he then developed a carp angler’s version that was available for a few years.
Following on from the Nash seat being unavailable for a number of years, our TB Guesti Seat is now available. Lightweight, comfortable and easily stored away inside a bedchair, it gives excellent back support when sitting sideways on a bedchair or directly on the floor/bank, it can be used as a guest seat for visitors, a boat seat or as a stalking seat.
Awesome! There are a few underwater cameras available these days but none that can do what the FishSpy does, and that is to beam live pictures back to your phone or device in real time.
What’s even more impressive is that it does so without the need for any phone signal, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi because it creates its own Wi-Fi signal unique to each unit and synced device. So, how does it work? Well, in layman’s terms, you cast it out as you would a marker float and let it up to the surface, at which point it will begin connection to the synced device. Once connection is established you can live view exactly what the camera sees.
Designed after the huge success of RidgeMonkey’s Action Station, these new adaptors are made with alternative uses in mind. The first will hold an action camera (GoPro and so on) and either screw into a bankstick or attach to the Action Station clamp (depending on which model you go for). The second one, my favourite, houses the RidgeMonkey bivvy light and, again, allows attachment to a bankstick or bivvy frame via the clamp. This opens up a world of uses for the light, some of which we are already experimenting with.
