Fox Micron Nxr Alarms And Receiver

Fox has returned to the larger head style of its top-end alarms, with the NTXr at the top of the tree and this, the NXr sitting just beneath it.
As far as I can tell, the main difference is that the NXr only comes with a blue LED option and an ever-so-slightly lower spec.

So far the NXr has performed brilliantly and I am hugely impressed with the sensitivity in particular. I dreamed, as a youngster, of owning a set of the legendary RX Digitals and, while the head size may be a little large for some people’s liking, these remind of those heady days. I like them, a lot.
The unique D-Tec sensing system and Tru-Run roller wheel eliminate false bites and weed bleeps, but I have been alerted to even the most delicate real bites this past winter. Sensitivity can be easily adjusted too, as can the volume and tone.

There’s a hard case with each alarm and, get this, the case automatically flicks the switch to off when placed on the alarm, so no more leaving your alarms on accidentally between trips.

The NXr receiver complements the alarms perfectly and is an absolute doddle to sync with the heads, and it comes complete with soft case and lanyard.
So far, then, the NXr has impressed. They are extremely reliable, do everything you’d want an alarm to do and they preserve batteries superbly. I haven’t had to change the batteries in this set yet and I’ve used them steadily for around six months.
