Costa offers its range of sunglasses with either high-quality glass or plastic lenses, and the ones I have tested are a top-of-the-range 580G glass-lens version. All four of the models that we stock at the shop (Fantail, Howler, Bomba and Brine), have extremely tough and durable TR-90 nylon frames and 580G Lightwave copper-coloured glass lenses that cut glare and enhance contrast and colour in most conditions.

Costa sunglasses with the 580G glass lenses are not cheap but if you want the best you generally need to pay for it. Or if you’re like me and have a sunglasses fetish, you simply have to own a pair! I have used a pair of these for over a year and find them unrivalled for fish spotting, comfort and performance in most light conditions.
