PUKKA!Putty has been around for years and every angler has a little pot kicking around.
This is the newest addition to the popular Taska Baseline Tungsten range and what a welcome addition it is too.
As the name suggests, the formula has been designed to ensure the putty is as easy to use in the depths of winter as it is in the height of summer.
If putty isn’t malleable then it’s just not practical to use and this was the team’s main focus.

Lee Jackson’s verdict - I’m amazed at the build quality and extensive range. 4/5
Tackle Box’s Lee Jackson says: In a market that is already crowded and occupied by big names when it comes to stainless steel metalware, it is always a big risk for a new company to come to the table with a new range of banksticks, buzz bars, pods and accessories, but that is exactly what Summit Tackle has done.
We were all very surprised and impressed at just how good a quality this range of metalware actually is. It covers everything from rod pods that are aesthetically very pleasing to the eye and that can be set up in seconds, to adjustable banksticks from nine to 18 inches that come with no-loss thumb lock screws and with a flat-profile inner section to minimise twisting, and two and three-rod adjustable buzz bars in various widths.
Lee Jackson’s verdict - A great product to have to hand.
Tackle Box’s Lee Jackson says: Konig portable power supplies are a relatively new product and with these portable power banks, you can power and charge smartphones and other USB-powered mobile devices almost anywhere.
With a 7,800 mAh capacity rechargeable battery, it can supply a smartphone with up to 19½ hours of extra talk time. The additional 1.

With the trend for sharpening hooks, we often argue in the office as to whether, when you’re paying £3 to £5 a packet, you sould have to sharpen them.
Well the arrival of the new Kodex Genomic Wide Gape hooks settled our debate; no they do not need sharpening – only after you have banked several fish, of course. With a Micro-Ground finish and chemically edged process that each hook has been subjected to, the ever so slightly leaning point is super-fine, incredibly sharp and wow does it take hold quickly – and that’s just in my hand.
I mentioned it slightly leans as opposed to it being a fully fledged beaked point that can alter the hooking potential in certain rig presentations.

Marc Coulson’s verdict. . . Upgrade your trusty Tournaments brilliantly!
I’ve had Daiwa Tournament reels for years and ‘suffered’ the traditional front-drag system where going from locked up to clutch took a seemingly endless number of turns.
