Many modern carp anglers look for ease of use in a product, and why not? With limited time on the bank you don’t want to waste it setting things up when you could be looking for fish or getting those rods in the water. This is why brollies have come back in fashion, but they aren’t very good when used as a long-term session shelter.

Bridging the gap between convenience, ease of use and unrivalled weather protection, the XTI Supadome was born.

Erected in no time via a push brolly-type system, the Supadome provides a large internal footprint capable of housing all your tackle, food and more while out on the bank. The extremely durable 20,000mm HH Armatek material repels water like a duck’s back, while the supplied clip-in vapour guard helps to eradicate dreaded condensation build-up.

Building on that further, the heavy-duty groundsheet can be zipped in, which helps to keep the creepy-crawlies at bay. Plus, come winter, it obviously helps to reduce the cold and allows you to get your bivvy up to a nice cosy temperature in no time at all. If, however, it does get too hot, the handy vents at the back can be zipped down, allowing you to maintain and control the airflow through your shelter, keeping it an enjoyable environment with no trouble at all.

The front can be zipped of entirely allowing you to use it open fronted. While attached, you can either use the PVC window option or mozzie mesh. The door is two way, allowing you to enjoy it either zipped down or letterbox style, depending on the weather conditions. Complete with magnetic storm pole connectors, and supplied storm bars and support bar, you can relax safe in the knowledge that once erected the XTI Supadome is as strong as you need it to be should those large winds roll in and the heavens open.

Other little touches we like are the four rod-retaining straps that help keep them separate, making it far more practical to get them sorted without getting them intertwined as you rush about getting them ready. As you would expect, the whole package is provided in a resilient and oversized zip bag for ease of packing away and when in transit and heavy-duty Sonik pegs come as standard. (DM)
