The first-ever Great Northern Fishing Show takes place over the weekend of July 17th and 18th and includes the pinnacle of competitive fishing – the £30,000-jackpot Fish ‘O’ Mania Final!


Now in its 18th year, Fish ‘O’ Mania is arguably the most nail-biting spectator event, with 16 qualifiers chasing that winner-takes-all prize. Former champions include the likes of Matt Hall, Neil Machin, Steve Ringer and last year’s victor, Neil McKinnon. Every year the five-hour match is broadcast live on Sky Sports but by attending the Great Northern Fishing Show you can actually be there in the flesh and witness all the exciting twists and turns as they unfold! As if that wasn’t enough, the following day is a brand-new Home International event, with England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales all vying for victory. You can expect to see all the top internationals involved, including Will Raison, Alan Scotthorne, Lee Edwards and Jamie Masson.

Of course, the show isn’t just about watching people fish, there will be a massive tackle village offering you the chance to meet top celebrity anglers, bag yourself some bargain gear and even try a bit of fishing yourself!

The two-day event is held at Cudmore Fisheries, Pleck Lane, Whitmore, Newcastle-under-Lyme ST5 5HW. Entry is just £6 for adults and £4 concessions.
