New internet search tool raises money for angling. Did you know that just by changing the way you search the internet, you can automatically help raise important funds to support angling projects? A new initiative lets you do just that…and it won’t cost you a penny! The Angling Trades Association (ATA) has signed a solus agreement with Global Search Solutions Ltd (GSS) to supply a bespoke angling browser page that can be used by every angler. Italian rod Matteo Tecchi makes his patience pay!Taska consultant, Matteo Tecchi saw a patient approach rewarded last week, as a fruitless session was transformed to a successful one, thanks to an immaculate 33lb common carp. Targetting a large stillwater, Matteo explained: “With a lot of water to draw fish from, I undertook an extensive prebaiting campaign, starting around a month before the session. Unfortunately for me, I only had one night available to me, so I had to make the absolute most of it. "I found three small spots where the carp had cleaned the bottom when they had taken all my bait, this provided me with perfect spots for me to present my rig, therefore, I lowered them into position very carefully and finally – I was fishing!"The night passed very slowly without any activity, but I had great confidence in my baiting and also in my choice of spots.

Mobile approach pays dividends. Sticky ace Rob Shanks enjoyed a session to remember last weekend, after a switch to stalking tactics paid dividends in grand style. He explained: "With the wife and kids away for the weekend I decided to get a rare 48-hour session in on my Norfolk syndicate water. "I'd baited a swim a few days previous, and on arrival it was clear the fish were in the area, but what looked like an odds-on bumper session turned into a bit of a head-banger.
