Introducing the brand-new Instant Action range from Nash with the Coconut Crème. The range is primarily aimed at reasonably stocked waters and designed to get to work as soon as the bait hits the water. A perfect combination of highly attractive sweeteners and enhancers, yet with an optimum food value that make carp find it hard to resist. Among the range are 200g session packs of boilies in a brilliant white colour, with a mouthwatering coconut aroma, in 15 and 20mm, each supplied with a free bag of matching pop-ups.

The first thing that struck me about these bright hook baits was the sheer number of baits in each tub. Call me a dullard, but I emptied a tub and counted 136 back in. That’s phenomenal value for money for any hook baits. There are four flavours in the high-viz versions, namely Peach & Pepper (orange), Pineapple & N-Butyric (yellow), White Chocolate (erm, white, obviously) and the hugely successful Buchu-Berry (pink).

The original Baitrunner Long Cast (LC), lovingly known as the ‘Shimano Big Pit’ among its many users, gained a huge following with anglers who appreciated its rugged build quality, cranking power and reliability. Very few serious carp anglers over the last decade haven’t owned a set of these and very many still do. A modernised version of the Long Cast has been introduced, boasting the same reliability but with engineering to bring it into the modern age. As well as this model, Shimano has also introduced a medium version with the same attributes but in a more compact size, much more manageable for anglers on small to medium-sized venues.
