Activ-8 has repeatedly outdone itself, with a string of big-fish captures, not to mention the countless other carp that it has banked. It is one of the best carp catchers around. The Activ-8 arrived in the office with a feature in mind and once it had served its purpose I was keen to get my hands on it. Although designed initially for inclusion in base mixes, I prefer to use it neat as a dip or soak for hook baits and a boosted addition for stick mixes and the like.

Having reviewed the various bits in the Red Amo range on several occasions, getting the chance to actually use it was quite exciting. I don’t get too excited about many baits but this offered something genuinely a little bit different to the norm. Based on the original Monster Tiger Nut boilie, Dynamite has added several extra ingredients including a particularly interesting fruit palatant that gives the bait a completely different profile.
