Catch Of The Winter At Borwickfishing

Fishing in a 24 hourCarp Fish-In at borwickfishing.co.uk,one of the most northerly big fish waters, on a chilly 30th January 2016 ,Benji Sidebottom from Halifax had possibly the best winter catch from the North West.
Fishing on Jimmy’s Lake on the popular complex, Benji was just 2oz short of a pair of Winter 30s, but still totaled comfortably over 60lb with two Common Carp weighing in at 29lb 14oz and 33lb 0oz respectively.Needless to say, Benji won the match but in true match style, while still holding the fish out in the lake he was the recipient of several buckets of ice cold water.

Fishery Manager, Steve Griffiths said, “These fish can be expected to put on even more weight over the next 4 months before losing it temporarily in May or June when they shed their spawn. Coupled with a likely increase, too, for the fishery’s biggest Carp, Moonscale, caught at 40lb 14oz by syndicate member Luke Worthington in November last year, prospects for Spring 2016 are exciting indeed”
