Avid Carp Screen House

First impressions of this gazebo-type shelter are not immediately conducive to stopping you in your tracks and making you dash out to your nearest Avid stockist to buy one. However, once you look at how it works and open your mind to the possibilities, it becomes more and more impressive.
With four side panels, each with a full central zip, you basically park it over up to four bivvies to create a large shelter, compete with communal area for socials, extra gear or just that added space and comfort.

We saw this one with two bivvies at a 90-degree angle to each other and immediately imagined how useful it would be to the hordes of anglers who fish as pairs at venues like Linear. Foreign forays would be made a hell of a lot more comfortable with the addition of a Screen House to your and your mates’ bivvies.

I thought it would be brilliant to take on camping trips with the missus and kids, who would previously not relish the cramped conditions of a week in a couple of two-man bivvies.
The Screen House literally converts two shelters into a full-on camping or long-session option and, at just under 200 quid it is a relatively cheap way of doing so, given that you already own the bivvy or bivvies.

It will work with a range of bivvy styles, including one and two man, and is both easy and relatively quick to erect. Full mozzie panels on each side can also be used to make it ideal for summer conditions, while pegging points and guide ropes give additional support.
