So how can this already well-regarded shelter be even better? Now boasting a new improved internal layout, there is even more usable internal space, if you can believe it. The unique separated pole design allows the shelter to easily accommodate a large bedchair, all your tackle and even enough room to house your stove and let you brew up and cook inside. I’m sure the next feature would have caught your eye already; it’s the addition of the stylish and highly effective rain peak. We have all been set up nice and cosy in our bivvy when all of a sudden the pitter-patter of raindrops lets you know the weather front is changing. It’s all fine if the wind is behind you or there’s hardly any at all, but what happens when the wind picks up and it begins driving towards you? Do you rearrange your swim and re-erect your shelter? Probably not. Sure you can just zip up the door, but then you can’t see your rods or watch the water. Well, now there is no need to panic; with the additional rain peak even the worst of driving rain will have little to no effect on your warm cosy abode.

What’s more, the HQ also features a rear vent that can be opened from the inside – now that’s clever – a colour-coded groundsheet for easy application, two rod retention bars, zip-off front panel and much, much more.
