Wychwood’s Riot Tactical Compact products are perfect for short-session angling and those on a budget; if you have a young angler in your life this might be your cost effective answer too. Both the 6-Leg bedchair and full sleep system give you a decent night’s sleep on the bank whilst remaining lightweight and affordable. They are a far stretch from the flagship beds out there, like the EPIC sleep systems, but when you are looking for the primary objective to be easy transportation and weight saving, these could be a winner. 

Riot Tactical Compact 6-Leg Bedchair
The Riot Tactical Compact 6-Leg Bedchair is based around a flat-folding frame and padded overlays that keep your weight off the metal and properly supported through the mattress. The mattress itself is made from durable, weather-resistant 600D Cordura and shaped to follow your body. There’s a neoprene pillow section stitched in at the head with a zipper section for item storage or additional padding

Six fully adjustable legs, each with pivoting mudfeet, give you a level bed even on uneven swims, and the height ranges from 30 to 42cm depending on how you set it. Finished in Wychwood’s Tactical-spec camouflage it looks the part especially, if you love DPM. Folded down, it packs into a manageable 70 x 65 x 25cm and weighs just 7kg. 

You can leave your sleeping bag attached thanks to space-saving hinges – ideal if you prefer your own sleeping bag over a sleep system.

Riot Tactical Compact Sleep System 
The Riot Tactical Compact Sleep System uses this same bedchair as the base but adds in a properly integrated 3-season sleeping bag. It’s microfleece-lined, filled with multi-layered hollowfibre, and zips into the bed via an oversized heavy-duty zip that stays secure but strips off quickly for cleaning or warm-weather use. The outer is waterproof, anti-rustle polyester in a subtle Tactical Camo, and it’s fitted with heavy-duty crash zips and clip locks to keep things sealed once you’re in. Internal and external zip baffles keep out the chill, and the whole thing folds down with the bag still attached using the same space-saving hinges.

With a maximum load of 114kg, both options suit most anglers without issue. Whether you’re after the full sleep system or you just need a lightweight bedchair that doesn’t cost the earth, the Riot Tactical Compact range delivers!
