A landing net is a landing net, right? Well, to a point, so long as the handle reaches far enough, and the mesh is deep and wide enough, then you could be forgiven for thinking so. However, what about the strength of the handle, how light and manoeuvrable it is, is the mesh soft enough and, importantly to all us carp anglers, does it look the part? These are all important considerations and each one appears to have been fully addressed by Trakker in the design of this net. The 6ft carbon handle is strong and lightweight and with three rubberised grip sections, it will not slip from your grasp in even the wettest of conditions. It also features a great-looking carbon wrap and subtle EQ logo, so looks the part whatever rods you use.

To explain its year-round versatility because even fish with significantly lowered metabolisms will be able to process and benefit from it with ease. The unique blend of ingredients also includes some that have not been widely used before in any UK-made baits. What’s more, the bait lends itself to being flavoured or glugged with many other liquid additives, allowing you to create your custom version of the great formula. CC Moore’s own testers found that it worked particularly well with citric and red-fruit combinations.

At the forefront of end-tackle design for many years, ESP continues to produce a wide range of extremely usable products, many of which offer a solution to the everyday problems faced by carp anglers. The most recent launch of new items includes the Chod Rig Sleeves, available in Camo Brown, Choddy Silt and Weedy Green, in packs of six. These are designed to keep your chod rig clear of the lead at the bottom of the leader when playing a carp. The inherent problem with a chod rig is that, without something above the lead, the rig slides right down the leader, potentially causing lost fish.
