Taska to partner Lac De Premiere
Tackle giants Taska have announced their new and exciting partnership as the main sponsor with up and coming French lake; Lac de Premiere. The large French water is co-owned by professional carp angler Keith Gladden and new Taska Consultant and Everton football star Tony Hibbert. The partnership will see the shop at Lac de Premiere stocking a range of Taska products but will also give Taska a healthy foothold on the French carp fishing scene. 91lb beast from Rainbow LakesIt has been reported that Eric Smith has smashed the world common carp record, after banking a 91lb common carp from French water, Rainbow Lakes. The monstrous fish breaks the previous best of 89lb, caught from a German water. Remarkably, the massive fish was already called ‘Eric’s Common’ as it was banked by the same angler at a smaller weight, earlier on in its life. We will bring more on this story as it develops.
Premier Film Screening A Big Success!The premiere screening of Korda’s latest Underwater Carp DVD, entitled Underwater Carp 7 took place at an Essex cinema last Thursday night. The event was attended by angling's rich and famous, including former Olympic athlete Dean Macey. Elliott Gray of Korda said: “It was great to bring everyone in the carp fishing industry together- and though it is the first time that we have ever done anything like this, we consider it to be a great success. Many of the people who attended told me that they really enjoyed it, and I expect that it will be something that we continue with in the future.
Austrian rod banks massive mirror!Check out this incredible carp from Austrian angler Andreas Karrer, that proves that big can certainly be beautiful! Weighing in at 30. 6kg (67lb) this big mirror was the result of many months hard work for Andreas, and made many blank sessions worthwhile. He explained: "I have been after this special fish for over two years, and am delighted to catch her at her first time over 30kg. At midnight she took my Single Plum/Carproice 15mm Pop Up from Nutrabaits, which was fished over a large bed of sweetcorn.
