Llyn-y-Gors owner Kevin Coe passes away.
Kevin Coe, owner of Anglesey's Lyn -Y-Gors fishery, and Financial Director of Premier Fisheries, has sadly passed away.

Kevin and his wife Karen acquired Llyn-y-Gors in 2004, and have spent the past eight years extensively developing the six lake fishing and holiday complex into one of the UK’s top angling holiday destinations.

Catering for both holiday anglers and day ticket visitors, Llyn-y-Gors provides fantastic fishing for the match and pleasure angler while new lakes and the extensive stocking of large carp and catfish provide specimen anglers with unrivalled sport.

As well as a top angling and holiday venue, 2008 saw Kevin and Karen developed the site further by opening a huge 1800 sq’ft tackle shop, which is now home to ‘The Fishing Warehouse’, one of the countries leading internet providers of tackle and bait.

Kevin was also Finance Director of Premier Fisheries, a select group of the UK’s leading commercial angling venues which Llyn-y-gors was a member of.

David Hall, Chairman of Total Carp's parent company DHP Ltd said: "I have had the pleasure of meeting Kevin Coe on a number of occasions, and have always been struck by his friendly, optimistic nature. Over the years, many of my journalists have traveled to Kevin's fishery at Llyn-y-Gors, and always returned singing the praises of his generosity of spirit, and the great fishing that they have enjoyed at his venue.

To run a carp fishery in an area as remote as Anglesey was seen by many as a bold venture- but Kevin did it brilliantly. I always remember thinking it ironic that so many Irish anglers would travel over on the ferry to fish Kevin's carp fishery, while English anglers went the other way to fish Ireland's natural waterways!

He was a remarkable man, and will be sorely missed."

On numerous feature trips to Llyn-Y-Gors Kevin always made us feel extremely welcome and did all he could to ensure our time there was enjoyable. He ran a tight ship but always appreciated the needs of his customers. I never heard a bad word from anglers about him or the venue and he will be missed by the regular visitors to the fishery. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.”
