Cultured Carp Baits throw their weight behind cancer charity initiative!
Cultured Carp Baits, supplier of high quality baits across the UK and France, have teamed up with ‘Carp Aid’ to support a range of carp fishing events aimed at raising vital funds in the battle against cancer.

‘Carp Aid’ is the newest arm of the ‘Match Aid’ charity, an organisation set up by Richard Anderson last year after losing two people to cancer who were very close to his heart.  Match Aid raises money for cancer research through fishing matches and due to its success Richard made the decision to expand the charity into the world of carp angling.

The man responsible for setting up ‘Carp Aid’ is David Cawsey; “I’m ecstatic about having the opportunity to work for a cancer charity and help give back to the people who helped to care for my mum who died of cancer almost two years ago and to those who helped my wife in her successful battle against cancer last year. When Richard asked me to set up a carp side of Match Aid it was a no-brainer!  Carp Aid allows me to combine my love for carp fishing while supporting a charity that has a special meaning to me because of what has happened to my family over the last three years".

Carp Aid has many exciting projects planned including a Carp Match Series to be based in the South West, which is hoping to launch next year. Cultured Carp Baits have teamed up with Carp Aid to supply bait for these events and many others.  Cultured carp Baits co-owner and bait consultant Matt Bonner commented on the partnership.. “Sometimes, we’re so caught up in the chase for our next target fish or to see how many big carp we can add to our photo collection it’s easy to forget why we all go fishing in the first place. We’re delighted to be supporting such a worthy cause and look forward to working closely with David and the team over the coming years”.
