Jackery | Explorer 2000 Plus (V2)
The Explorer 2000 Plus is Jackery’s answer to real portable power. Whether you're working from the bank, going away on a long European trip, camping with the family or just want backup power that’ll actually last, this unit has the spec to cover it.
With a 2042Wh lithium iron phosphate battery at its core, the 2000 Plus gives you long-lasting, stable output. You can run fridges, lights, charging setups, even cookers all off one unit. And if you need more, you can scale it up with expansion batteries. Jackery claims over 10 years of daily use from this cell type, which means it’ll hold up to regular weekend trips without fading out.
You get a mix of outputs, USB A, USB C, AC sockets and a car port all built in and ready to go. It’ll power a full bivvy setup and charge your gear with plenty of headroom. Everything’s housed in a clean, stackable design with solid carry handles and clear display readouts, showing battery level, input and output wattage, and estimated run time.
Recharge options are solid too. Plug it into the mains, hook up solar panels, or use your vehicle while driving. With dual solar input, it charges faster than most and keeps you genuinely off grid if needed. Jackery’s SolarSaga panels are made to pair directly with it, keeping the setup neat.
Noise is minimal, cooling is efficient, and the build feels tough enough to live in the boot or bivvy. It’s not just for tech-heads or van setups, this is a real option for anglers who want reliable, serious power with none of the hassle of petrol generators or loose wiring.
If you want full confidence in your power setup and something that’ll last beyond one season, the Explorer 2000 Plus is well worth a look. Quiet, clean and hard to beat for outright performance.
Total Carp Editor’s input:
After using this since launch I can truly say it’s a game changer for me, if you are looking at the price and rolling over, one of Jackery’s smaller power units may be more suited to you.
Mine generally stays in the van and allows me to work from anywhere, having charge all the time for my cameras, my laptop, drones, my phone and even for my smaller more portable units. The added bonus is the 12v car charging lead keeps it going when I’m on the way to locations for shoots, so I don’t even need to remove it from the van and the 100w fast charge is a godsend. It’s like being at home and plugging into the mains.
Expensive, but a tool for a job and if you truly need one, it’s a solid investment.
