Not to be missed event sees one of carping's big stars visit Chelmsford tackle super store.

Free this Saturday? Then you’ll want to get yourself along to what’s shaping up to be a brilliant open day at Angling Direct in Essex.

The Chelmsford branch of the tackle shop giant is inviting anglers to visit its store on March 24 to see Korda and Dawia carping star Darrell Peck for first-class demos, new kit and much more.

Giving visiting anglers the benefit of his vast experience with rig building and tips on putting more carp on the bank, Darrell will be on hand to answer all of your carping questions. Not only that, but the big fish ace, who actually used to work in the Chelmsford store, will be bringing with him a host of new Korda products – including the new Korda Goo that’s set to take the carp world by storm.


“It’s all set to be a brilliant day and Darrell is always on great form, visitors will learn a lot,” Store manager Lee Tomlin told Total Carp. “As well as all the new Korda gear we’re also packed out with loads of other new tackle. Our bivvy and bedchair area has all the latest kit from Nash, Chub, Trakker and Daiwa, including the impressive Nash Emperor bedchair.

“On the day we’ll also be offering new club and syndicate accounts with the store where anglers can save up to 10percent off on kit, plus they’ll be chance to sign up in one of the few remaining spaces for the Essex Carp Champs that our staff runs.”

Doors to the store open at 8.30am and stay open until 6pm so there’s plenty of opportunity to get yourself along and see the event for yourself.
