Delkim Snag Bars

The TC boys get to grips with tackle and bait, testing them to the limit out on the bank. Here’s what they think…

Marc says: I’ve written before that it bugs me when I see people using three pairs of snag bars at the same time. You can’t fish that many snags and it’s done purely for show.

I like the fact that these can be used completely independently, both in terms of one alarm at a time, as well as one bar on said alarm.

These work via a replacement battery compartment cover, which screws in place and has two recesses that the snag bars slide safely into. This replacement cover negates the only gripe I have ever had with Delkim alarms – the battery cover sliding off when you replace the alarm covers. That’s now never an issue.

The bars get their strength from a thin steel bar but are covered in a carbon wrap, making them look as good as they perform. They can be removed and stored safely, and completely remove the need for extra bulk between the alarm and bankstick, which nearly all other snag bars suffer from. They’re also a lot cheaper than many of the stainless-steel versions.
