Monster smashes lake record
At a whopping 47lb 15oz this is a new lake record for the Shallow Pit at the famous St Ives Lakes in Cambridgshire.

Caught by angler Steve Bull, the fish, known as Colin, is an infrequent visitor to the bank, but this time slipped up to a combination of a Denham Baits Element pop-up fished over prototype pellets form the same bait company.

Steve captured the monster that could well hit 50lb in the near future on his first trip to the water since early summer.
