Bait Tech Announces Winner

Carp angler joins team as sponsored angler following nail-biting competition.
Top bait firm Bait-Tech has announced the winner of its amazing prize for one angler to join the company as a fully sponsored angler.

Inviting angling CVs from carpers across the country to apply for the position, the Bait-Tech team were overwhelmed by the quality of the response they got. After finding it too hard to make a final decision it was decided that the winner would be chosen in the best way possible – a fish off, as Bait-Tech;s Business Development Director, Hayley Goldsmith explains:

“With the standard so very high we simply couldn’t pick a winner until we had seen them all in action,” said Hayley. “We have strong links with Suffolk Water Park, so this provided an ideal place to put them through their paces. This day-ticket venue has some impressive carp to well over 40lb, but the question was who was going to shine through and catch some?”

In the end it was Hampshire angler Lee Morris that stood out over the rest of the six anglers taking part, with the 28-year-old now part of the Bait-Tech team.

“Over the 24 hours of fishing we had chance to really get to know our six contestants and decisions actually became harder, not easier,” continued Hayley. “The six exceptional anglers on the bank each showed different attributes, and it was clear that all of them could be involved in the team at Bait-Tech – quite simply they deserved it.

“One person who did eventually stand out, however, was 28-year-old Lee Morris, from Hampshire. A deserved winner for so many reasons, none more so than the capture of a superb fish in very difficult conditions. Lee now joins the team as a fully sponsored Bait-Tech angler, and our many congratulations go to him.”
