1. Aligning Waterproof Marks On Your Deeper Sonar: Why It Matters
These marks indicate the correct seal position, ensuring the unit remains watertight for optimal performance and device longevity. Misalignment can lead to water ingress, risking internal damage, inaccurate readings, or complete device failure.

2. Why The Right Bolt Position Matters On Your Deeper Sonar
Using the correct bolt attachment position on your Deeper sonar is essential for accurate scanning, quality of scan and device stability. Each bolt position is designed for specific methods, ensuring the sonar sits at the right correct angle. Match the bolt position as follows: 
1 – Casting from bank – bottom hole. 
2 – Bait boat or Bushwhacker – middle hole (mount dependent). 
3 – Casting from higher ground above water level – top hole.

3. Maximise Your Deeper Sonar’s Wi-Fi Connection
To connect to your Deeper sonar, place your sonar a couple of metres out from the water’s edge, go to your smartphone or tablet’s Wi-Fi settings and select the Deeper network.

Important: switch off mobile data and Wi-Fi assist to prevent connectivity interference. For the strongest signal, elevate your device to waist or chest height at the front of your swim using a Deeper tripod or long bankstick. This ensures a clear line of sight to the sonar.

4. Dry Contacts, Longer Battery Life.
To preserve your Deeper sonar’s battery, always dry the two metal contacts on the bottom after use. Leaving them damp can keep the sonar running unnoticed, draining the battery. 
After every session, gently wipe the contacts with a dry cloth, which ensures your sonar powers down properly.
