The Tundra Jacket and Salopettes from Fortis utilise a fully tape-seamed, two-layer version of the well-proven TriFlex material on the outer, with an ‘under-rated’ waterproof rating of 25,000mm hydrostatic head so you can head out into the worst, most inclement weather imaginable, safe in the knowledge that this clothing will keep you dry.

Just as important as waterproofing for technical outerwear is breathability. Even with modest activity your body can produce a surprisingly large amount of perspiration and you need to be able to get that out! The TriFlex outer delivers here too, with a corresponding breathability rating of 25,000g/m2, ensuring the Tundra clothing can cope with even strenuous activity when required.

Finally, the TriFlex material has a substantial element of four-way stretch, providing great manoeuvrability and comfort. The Jacket and Trousers are well cut and neither leave you feeling restricted, even when performing tasks such as casting.

The Tundra Jacket features Premium Primaloft® Insulation, which is not only lightweight, but super-warm too, in even extremely moist conditions – a necessity here in the UK. The material is 100 per cent eco-friendly recycled content and dries extremely quickly .

The Jacket is a long, classic fit, with two mid-height handwarmer pockets that can be accessed while wearing a rucksack and a large adjustable hood with a stiffened storm peak. A high quality two-way YKK® Vislon front zip has been used with a large external storm flap featuring button poppers to further protect from water ingress. The sleeves have adjustable cuffs with integrated gaiters and the jacket features a number of additional pockets strategically positioned around the body, and an internal zipped pocket and two large stash pockets.

The Salopettes are the perfect accompaniment to the Jacket, and feature a slightly lighter insulation, as typically the legs don’t require quite so much. Like the Jacket, these have a classic fit, and feature the same high quality two-way zipper with storm baffle. Combined with super-comfortable elasticated braces with quality YKK Buckles, this ensures the salopettes are easy to get on and off. There are long boot zips with Velcro cuffs, and at the waist there are two large, zipped handwarmer pockets featuring storm baffles. As with the jacket, a number of well placed zip pockets keep all your personal possessions safe and easy to access.
