Additional Info: Well this fish isn't the biggest in the lake but is a very special one talula but she is also known as the Queen for as she very rarely sees the bank with her last capture over 18 months ago.
I have been fishing this lake for just over a year now and it has beaten me up good with a low stock of 50 carp in 10acre with depths to 20ft and like a egg box I really did have my work cut out from the off but I was up for the challenge with it been local I could get down to mark it out find spots but with the water quality been so good it brought the weed with it with made finding spots that little harder.
After a tough first year on there with 32 nights blanked under my belt I just knew on Thursday 17th March one was due we had some nice weather coming that weekend so I filled the bucket up with around 3kg of whole, half and crushed SLK and matching pellet and put it out onto a bar at 14.5 wraps in 7ft of water.
I then returned the following day around 2pm and wasn't really in a rush to get the rods out as I had already pre baited the spot the night before. After getting the house all set up and a coffee down me it was time to get the rods out it took a few attempts to hit the spot as it isn't very big at all and trying to fit to rods into a 6ft wide spot may not be hard work for some but it is me but we got there in the end with them both landing on top of the bar with a nice solid drop.
Sitting back for a hour I had a indication on my left had rod like it was a bream as I stood up to have a look the indicator hit up against the alarm and we was away finally after all this time and effort I had a carp hooked my legs instantly went to jelly she just hung on out in open water after a slow heavy battle she finally went over the net cord to say I was a happy man was a understament.
I was speechless with one of the local lads fishing a few pegs down he came down to see what fish I had and when he looked and told me I couldn't belive it I was finally of the mark and with such a special fish this is one I will never forget!!
