Additional Info: A rare opportunity presented itself for me to go fishing on a short overnight session after work at the back end of April so I was determined to make the most of it. A very unsettled April weather wise with it still feeling cold so I was not sure what the carp in the lake would be up to but upon arrival the sun made an appearance !! I had a feeling that a few of the lakes carp would be visiting the marginal drop off in front of some reeds where the Sun was hitting so I had a quick lead about and located a harder clay spot. Perfect and a Hutchy Wafter was dispatched to the spot followed by a few handfuls of the matching test bait scattered in the area enough to gain the interest of any carp passing out of the deeper water into the reeds. The rod had not been out more than 20 minutes before a carp had taken a liking to the bait ! A nice battle with a angry carp and the result was a nice mirror in the Sunshine !!
