Additional Info: After suffering blanks the last 6 times I’ve been fishing I thought I would try somewhere new. Fished on wadeys pool at Fisherwick Lakes which has 4 known carp 30lb+ up to 34lb - it now has 5 known! Went for 24hrs and caught this beauty around 7pm, fished away from the baited area where my other 2 rods were on. Didn’t catch anything else but really wasn’t bothered as I had smashed my previous PB of a 21lb mirror caught over 19 years ago! And in the last 19 years have even managed to hit anything in the 20’s so was super happy and filled with joy when seeing the scales tipping 30lb (or as the man who was weighing it with me and took photos called it-a 30lb scraper! ) also it’s my first ever grass carp! So only a leather one needed now to complete the species in this country.
